Jigsee Video-On-Demand (VOD)
Jigsee VOD provides all of the benefits of Jigsee's mobile rich-media delivery technology in an enterprise ready package that is scalable, cost effective, and easy to implement for Mobile Service Providers. Jigsee VOD is a modular enterprise solution which includes Jigsee Media Server, Jigsee Transcoder, Jigsee CMS, and Jigsee Smart Client. While the full suite of software is available to all Jigsee VOD customers, the solution is flexible enough to integrate with proprietary third party CMS solutions.
Jigsee Media Server
Jigsee Media Server is the heart of Jigsee VOD, and is responsible for delivering and managing all video streams and downloads to the Jigsee Smart Client. The Media Server incorporates a stateless design which facilitates high simultaneous traffic. It implements a proprietary streaming engine which is highly scalable, and includes resilient attributes which allow it to function smoothly in a wide range of wireless environments. Jigsee Media Server is built on an extensible design which allows for service extensions through plugins. This capability allows for seamless interaction with most popular social networking sites.
Jigsee Media Transcoder
Jigsee's state of the art Media Transcoder converts audio, videos and image files to proprietary stream formats for all of Jigsee's supported device platforms. When plugged-in to Jigsee Media Server, Jigsee Media Transcoder can automatically schedule transcoding of media files as and when they become available without any human intervention. Jigsee Media Transcoder is sophisticated enough to handle format changes to bitrate, resolution and screen size modifications.
Jigsee CMS
Jigsee CMS is a core component of the Jigsee VOD solution, and is sophisticated enough to handle the most complex content management challenges, including user uploaded content. Jigsee CMS offers a rich set of features including user-data management, media-data management, media transcoding, advanced content search, content recommendation logic and more. It also provides an integrated billing and accounting system.
Jigsee Smart Client
Jigsee Smart Client provides mobile subscribers a perfect mobile video experience even in the most difficult and congested networks in the world. In conjunction with Jigsee Media Server, the Smart Client uses the Jigsee Resilient Transport and Jigsee Adaptive Buffering technologies to ensure a smooth and reliable video stream to the end user. If the stream or download ever stops due to intermittent coverage, congestions or dead zones, Jigsee Smart Client will automatically resume the download or stream from the point of drop-off, providing the smoothest possible video experience.
